AutoCad Designer | Drafter

The Role

Designers support our agricultural construction projects by producing accurate, construction-ready plan sets. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, estimators, and field teams to translate concepts and specifications into clear, buildable plans. This role reports to the Project Management team and plays a key role in pre-construction and execution.

Responsibilities

Create and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings for construction projects

Develop site plans, layouts, sections, and details for ag facilities

Update drawings based on field conditions, redlines, and project changes

Coordinate with project management and engineering teams

Maintain organized drawing files and documentation

Ensure drawings align with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes

Support estimating and pre-construction with design layouts as needed

Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD. 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience preferred but willing to train the right person

Experience in agricultural, industrial, or commercial construction design preferred

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Expectations & Preferred Experience

Agricultural facilities (feedyards, dairies, barns, grain or ag structures)

Construction or fabrication background

Understanding of real-world field conditions and constructability

Experience coordinating with field crews

Familiarity with redlines/as-builts
