Throughout wind farm construction, MJE’s knowledgeable project managers monitor each phase of construction to ensure that specialized crews work with one another in keeping the project on time and on budget. MJE provides the following services in the wind energy industry:
MJE complete 17 miles of road for Florida Power and Light on a wind energy project near Montezuma, KS. This project included grading the roads and placing aggregate according to the engineer’s specifications. Near Gruver, TX, MJE excavated and backfilled 76 turbine foundations for Signal Energy; MJE was able to meet both the aggressive schedule and the strict compaction guidelines on this project. MJE has completed construction of the Taloga wind farm near Woodward, OK for Wanzek (54 turbines and 13 miles of road). Our portion of the contract included site grading, aggregate and geotextile placement, culvert installation and foundation excavation and backfill. MJE has completed the Caney River Wind Farm in Howard KS for BWEC (111 turbines, 33miles of road). On the Caney River Wind Farm MJE’s contract included road building, fencing, cattle guards, as well as rock crushing for backfill material. As with most projects in the wind farm industry; this project had an extremely aggressive schedule: a schedule that MJE has been able to meet through hard work and a knowledgeable and safe crew. MJE has completed working on the Cimarron Wind Farm in Cimarron KS, for Wanzek. MJE has also finished the Next Era project for Blattner Energy in Ensign KS. At this time MJE has several wind farms under our maintenance program.
