Friona Industries: Dalhart Cattle Company

Approximately 50 different employees on 4 different crews constructed a 16,600-head feedyard expansion in only 9 months. In addition to pen construction, the project included a new shipping and receiving facility, processing facility and satellite hospital facility for one of the largest cattle feeders in the United States.

This project was for a client new to MJE, and it was imperative that we showcase our expertise and professionalism every step of the way. With over 300,000 CY of earthwork, 10,000 CY of concrete and 10 miles of fence, it was a top priority to finish this large project in stages to allow for cattle to be fed while completing the next phase of work. MJE managed construction so Friona Industries could manage their business and capitalize quickly on their expanding feedyard.

Collaboration

MJE held weekly construction meetings with managers and owners to discuss issues, changes and schedules. It allowed MJE to keep feedyard management in the loop with progress updates and strategies for overcoming any foreseeable challenges.
