Stromberger Commodity Barns

This project was the first turnkey feed mill project MJE had the opportunity to complete. Working closely with Gearn Inc., we constructed a 10-bay commodity barn, office, micro room, two mixer boxes, a feeding truck pass-thru building and a two-bay flaker building.

Challenge

Not only was this a first for MJE, but we also were tasked with designing a facility that was efficient for feed trucks, commodity trucks and payloaders.

Collaboration

Working closely with ownership and Gearn Inc., we were able to design a facility with the proper flow that allowed for maximum efficiency. We had meetings frequently to keep all entities up to date on progress and troubleshoot any challenges that cropped up.

Custom Solution

Our robust project management skills allowed us to collaboratively design a commodity barn with advanced capabilities. One unique solution that came through our work together was metal bollards filled with concrete at the end of bay walls with flat plates that allowed optimal efficiencies for owners and eliminated damage to the concrete.
